Team mission
As our Senior Security GRC Manager, you'll own security governance, risk, and compliance for the Security team. You'll shape how we meet obligations like NIS2, PCI DSS, and SOX, and you'll make compliance the result of how we work, not a fire drill before each audit. You'll report to the Head of Security and work closely with Engineering, IT, Legal & Privacy, GRC, Internal Controls, and Internal Audit. This is a builder role. You'll set the direction, write the frameworks, and run them, with the backing to make them stick.
Your mission
- • Own the security policy framework. Write, maintain, and bring to approval our security policies and standards (policy → standard → procedure), and keep the policy register current.
- • Run cyber risk management. Keep the cyber risk register, facilitate risk assessments with system and business owners, track treatment plans to closure, and report top risks to leadership as input to the enterprise risk view.
- • Run security compliance programs. Coordinate PCI DSS, SOX, ITGC, and NIS2 activities, plus ISO 27001 readiness. Be the main Security contact for external auditors and assessors.
- • Build continuous evidence. Keep one control framework mapped across regulations in our GRC platform (Vanta), and automate evidence collection with Engineering and IT so audits draw on what we already run.
- • Manage regulatory obligations with Legal. Turn regulatory requirements into concrete controls. Support incident reporting procedures and management accountability, including training and approval cycles.
- • Review third parties. Run the security step during vendor intake and reassessment, in collaboration with Procurement, Legal, and GRC.
- • Measure what works. Define control KPIs, track maturity against the NIST CSF, and conduct internal reviews to close the loop.
Your toolkit
- • 5+ years in security GRC, security compliance, or IT audit, ideally at a technology or online platform company.
- • Hands-on experience running at least two of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOX ITGC, SOC 2, or NIS2: owning controls, preparing evidence, and taking audits through to a clean result.
- • A track record of writing policies and standards that were approved, adopted, and enforced.
- • Experience designing or running a risk methodology and register, and getting risk owners outside Security to act on it.
- • Enough technical depth to discuss cloud (AWS), SaaS, identity and access, and software delivery with engineers, and to tell evidence apart from paperwork.
- • Experience with a GRC platform (Vanta, Drata, or similar) and an instinct to automate repeat work, including with AI tools.
- • Clear, concise writing in English, and the ability to explain risk in business terms to leadership.
Extras that give you an edge
- • CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor.
- • Experience with NIS2 or the German BSI framework; German language skills.
- • Experience in a regulated environment (financial services, payments) or a scale-up preparing for greater regulatory scrutiny.
- • Familiarity with the Three Lines model and working alongside Internal Audit and enterprise risk teams.
How we’ll make your career journey extraordinary
- • Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs for continuous learning and development
- • Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year
- • A hybrid working approach with three days of in office collaboration (Mon, Tue, Thur) and two days of optional at home focus time.
- • Opportunities to collaborate and socialize with a quarterly team event budget
- • Access to leading AI tools plus the resources and budget to get the most out of them
- • Monthly transportation and fitness budget
- • Discounts for you, your friends, and family on GetYourGuide activities
- • Language reimbursement program
- • Health and wellness benefits
And more…
